The Avila Property Owner's Association manages one of North Tampa's most exclusive gated communities. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests. - Access Control: Monitor and control access to the property and process authorized guests and venders.
- Community Presence: Conduct regular patrols to maintain a security presence, monitor surveillance cameras, and investigate unusual or suspicious activity.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document all daily activities, occurrences, and security incidents.
- Emergency Response: Provide support during medical, fire, or other emergencies, coordinating with appropriate external agencies as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Strong Customer Service: An outgoing, friendly personality and excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) are essential.
- Dependability: A valid Driver's License, dependable transportation, and the ability to work a consistent day shift, which may include weekends.
- Integrity & Vigilance: The ability to exercise independent judgment within established guidelines and maintain confidentiality.
- Physical Stamina: The ability to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Background Checks: Ability to pass a background, drug, and driving history screening (a non-negotiable requirement for a position of trust).
- Basic Computer Literacy: Familiarity with standard computer programs for logging information and operating access control systems.
Beneficial, but not required skills:
- Previous experience in a security, hospitality, or similar role.
- A current security license is a plus, but not required.

We offer a competitive compensation package for full time team members and a supportive work environment.
- Competitive Salary: The hourly rate starts at $18 per hour.
- Health & Wellness: Health, vision, and dental insurance for full-time employees.
- Retirement: 401k with a 2% company match.
