Overview
We're hiring an experienced, full-time Registered Respiratory Therapist and/or Polysomnographic Technologist with an active New York State license to join our sleep lab in Valhalla, NY, covering sleep services 3-4 nights per week, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
This role comes with a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 for full-time registered sleep technologists, competitive hourly pay based on experience, and additional pay per shift for attending and scoring productivity.
We provide sleep laboratory management and sleep therapy services, partnering with hospitals and physician practices to support patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care management for people with sleep disorders.
Pay range: $40-$53/hour, depending on experience. Candidates should have no gaps longer than two months in their RRT and/or RPSGT work history.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate sleep studies and collect clinical data
- Prepare equipment, record study activity, and analyze results
- Follow proper polysomnographic procedures, including placement of electrodes and sensors, equipment calibration, and fitting of airway pressure masks
- Score clinical events such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and compile final data for review
- Comply with all applicable safety regulations
Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
- NY PSG and/or CRT/RT license(s) also preferred
- Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists in the State of NY is preferred, but a NY PSG and/or Respiratory Therapist license is required
- Certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS) and/or CPR
- Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required
