We are seeking a talented and experienced Catering Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our team at an off premise catering company, a prestigious high-end catering company known for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. You'll be managing our kitchen team in creating and executing exquisite menus for a variety of events, ranging from intimate gatherings, weddings and large-scale functions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, ordering and food preparation for events.
- Lead teams at offsite venues from Tahoe to Napa.
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency in food production.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of culinary skills and professionalism.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food costing to optimize kitchen operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Collaborate with the catering team to innovate and elevate our offerings to exceed client expectations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a high-volume off premise catering is a nonnegotiable requirement.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences and attention to detail.
- Computer competency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Vendor Online Ordering Systems.
