- Group Class Basketball Coach
Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate, high-energy, and reliable coaches to lead and support players within our youth basketball program. Ideal candidates will have experience working with youth athletes, a strong understanding of the game, and the ability to create a positive, disciplined, and encouraging environment.
Group Class Coach Schedule (Multiple Shifts):
- Monday–Thursday afternoon/evening shifts (between 4:00 PM–6:30 PM)
- Saturday morning shifts (between 10:00 AM–1:00 PM)
- Availability during Afterschool programs 1-3pm is a plus (Seasonal)
Additional opportunities for extra hours, events, and training sessions may also be available.
Estimated weekly hours: 4–15
Responsibilities:
- Plan and help run age-appropriate basketball practices
- Teach basketball fundamentals, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship
- Support player development in a positive and competitive environment
- Ensure player safety during practices and games
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and program leadership
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching and/or playing experience (youth, high school, college, or higher preferred)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic working with children ages 4–12
- Ability to lead with energy, positivity, and accountability
- CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation:
$20–$26 per hour (based on experience)
