What You'll Do
As a Guest Service Agent, you'll be the face of Hotel Indigo and one of the most important members of our team. You'll create exceptional first impressions while helping guests enjoy everything Traverse City has to offer.
Responsibilities Include:
- Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and professionalism
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
- Answer phones, emails, and guest inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner
- Provide recommendations on local restaurants, attractions, wineries, beaches, and events
- Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations
- Resolve guest concerns with confidence and care
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, valet, and food & beverage teams to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Assist with packages, guest requests, and special accommodations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment
- Follow hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures
What We're Looking For

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Previous hotel, hospitality, retail, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred
- Opera PMS experience a plus
- IHG experience a plus

Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds. Work is performed primarily indoors within a hotel environment.
