At Midwest Center for Women's Healthcare, we are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team at our Des Plaines office. The role may require occasional rotation to our Buffalo Grove office. The position involves rotating shifts 7-3, 9-5, 11-7 (every 1-2 weeks) and a Saturday shift (8 a.m. - 12 p.m.) once every 3 months.
We close at 3 p.m. on Fridays, allowing staff extra time for the weekend.
Role Overview: As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include checking vital signs, administering injections, assisting with procedures, and providing excellent patient care in a supportive and professional manner. You will gain valuable experience in OBGYN and have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our patients.

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent patient care and contribute to a positive experience for all patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team, with a clear understanding of medical terminology.
- Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus, but we welcome candidates who are eager to learn.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and perform basic lab tests as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient care.
