Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Child Care Administrator to lead and oversee the operations of a Residential Treatment Center dedicated to supporting children with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, and complex emotional needs. In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality care, manage staff and resources effectively, and foster a safe, nurturing environment for residents. Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the residential treatment center, ensuring adherence to all licensing and regulatory requirements
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to each child's developmental needs and behavioral goals
- Supervise staff members including direct care workers, clinicians, and support personnel, providing guidance and performance evaluations
- Manage budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with social workers, healthcare providers, families, and community agencies to support residents’ well-being and transition planning
- Ensure medication administration protocols are followed accurately and safely by trained staff
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of resident progress, incident reports, compliance records, and care activities
Skills
- Proven leadership experience in residential or group home settings with a focus on child or adolescent care
- Strong knowledge of assisted living environments, nursing home practices, or senior care management
- Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges such as dementia or memory care needs
- Familiarity with creating and managing care plans that address complex needs including Alzheimer’s care and dementia support
- Skilled in operations management, budgeting, and financial acumen relevant to long-term care facilities
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and compliance standards within residential settings
- Background in social work or related fields that support holistic resident-centered approaches
- Experience in home & community care services or retirement homes is highly desirable
