Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of assigned properties to assess condition and identify needed repairs or maintenance.
- Perform essential preservation tasks such as securing doors and windows, boarding up openings, and removing debris to prevent vandalism or further damage.
- Maintain property safety by trimming overgrown vegetation, clearing walkways, and addressing hazards promptly.
- Document all work performed with detailed reports, photographs, and logs to ensure accurate records of property condition.
- Coordinate with contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or services when necessary.
- Follow established protocols for property upkeep to ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations such as vandalism, weather damage, or unauthorized access to mitigate risks effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property maintenance, preservation, or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for documentation and reporting.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often necessary for property visits across different locations.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and basic repair techniques is a plus but can be provided through training.
