Our flagship Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) program provides paid transitional work experience, transitional housing, advanced occupational training, and comprehensive supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The Doe Fund is also one of New York City’s largest nonprofit developers of permanent, affordable, and supportive housing, with more than 1,900 units in operation or pre-development. The organization has an annual operating budget of $80 million and a full-time staff of nearly 500, a significant portion of whom are graduates of our programs.
We are currently seeking a Dispatcher for our Community Improvement Program (CIP) to join our growing team at our 510 Gates Avenue Brooklyn facility.

Supervise Staff/Trainee Drivers and Dispatch Aides; track hours, approve time sheets, and requests for time off.

Log and fulfill transportation/messenger requests.

Ensure that Trainees are transported to and picked up from their assigned routes daily.

Distribute equipment and uniforms as needed; reorder equipment and uniforms when supplies are low.

Works closely with the Fleet Director and Senior Dispatcher to ensure the upkeep of agency vehicles.

Maintains accurate, up-to-date files and records.

Able to organize, focus, multitask, and work as part of a team

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma/GED
-
Possess a valid NYS Driver’s License and pass our test

Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
-
Computer proficiency, Google Suite and Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Proficiency in email and database management.

Be able to deal with people daily (customer service)
