Groton School’s Buildings and Grounds Department is seeking Part-Time Safety Officers to work one or two of the following shifts:
Fridays: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Sundays: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
This is a 12-month-per-year, non-benefited, non-exempt hourly position.
This role reports to the Deputy Director of Buildings and Grounds.
Applicants must possess:
- a valid Massachusetts driver’s license
- CPR training (or a willingness to be trained upon hire)
- the ability to pass a physical ability test and undergo a full background check
- a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- the ability to (occasionally) shovel snow and lift heavy objects when needed
- one to three years of experience in school or campus safety, law enforcement, military police training, or correctional officer training
- the availability to cover other shifts as needed
Compensation
The starting hourly rate for this position is $23.00.
