Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical knowledge and patient care, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of service. This role is essential in supporting our medical staff and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical histories.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring comfort during visits.
- Support medical administrative functions including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance coding.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals.
Experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge and medical terminology is essential.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly Pediatrics, is a plus.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to medical billing is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient service are critical for success in this role.
