Job Overview
Plays a crucial role in supporting the accounting department by maintaining financial records, bookkeeping, processing vendor transactions, processing payroll (preferably on Paychex) assisting with reporting, bank reconciliation tasks and maintaining smooth daily accounting operations
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting clerks perform a variety of tasks to ensure accurate financial operations, including:
- Maintaining and updating financial records and databases to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Processing transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts
- Preparing financial reports, bank reconciliations, and statements according to accounting principles
- Assisting accountants and supervisors with bookkeeping, payroll, and other accounting functions
- Handling invoices, payments, and supplier or employee discrepancies
- Ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation of sensitive financial information
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in mathematics and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping
- Strong organizational and computer skills, including familiarity with accounting software such as SAP or other bookkeeping programs
- Ability to reconcile accounts, identify errors, and produce reports
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently and under supervision as part of a team
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks financial software.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
