We are seeking a full time, friendly, mature, strong, positive, reliable team player Front Office Receptionist for high volume Medical clinics and Physical Therapy in our Pleasanton, San Ramon and occasionally go to our Tracy locations (must be willing to be assigned to any of our 3 locations). Duties include:
- Greeting patients in a warm and welcoming demeanor,
- Efficiently registering patients into the EMR system (Athena) by collecting accurate patient demographics and insurance information, verifying insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Checking patients in, scanning patient’s ID and insurance cards, checking all documentation are properly filled out and signed, scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments/balances,
- Prepping patient charts, verifying insurance coverage, and other clerical assignments including obtaining authorization for therapy treatments.
- Rooming patients, completing patient intake information
- Cleaning patient exam rooms
- Other typical medical front desk duties
The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year of front desk/customer service experience. They should have some knowledge of medical insurances, PPO, HMO, Worker Compensation, and Medicare. Previous computer experience with electronic appointment scheduling in Athena is a plus. Experience in Orthopedics a plus. Spanish speaking a plus. NEW MA GRADS ARE WELCOME!
