Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring all dishes meet quality expectations.
- Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring efficiency and safety in the kitchen.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety regulations, and best practices is essential.
- Experience as a dietary aide or in catering services is a plus.
- Familiarity with menu planning and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are important for success in this role.
