Faith Lutheran Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individual to join our preschool team as a Part-Time Afternoon Classroom Aide. This position supports the teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children.
Position Details
- Approximately 10–15 hours per week
- Afternoon hours during the school year (At this time Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday hours 11:45-3pm, with possibility to be needed Mondays 11:45-3pm)
- Opportunity for additional hours by serving as a substitute teacher when needed
- School-year position (September–May)
Responsibilities
- Assist with classroom activities and daily routines
- Support children during learning centers, play, and transitions
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with the lead teacher and preschool staff
- Provide positive interactions and guidance to children
Qualifications
- Dependable, patient, and caring
- Enjoy working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to meet childcare licensing requirements (fingerprint background check, CPR/First Aid, Classes required, ect.)
- Previous experience with children is preferred but not required
Additional Opportunity
This position includes the opportunity to serve as a substitute teacher for Faith Lutheran Preschool teachers when needed, providing additional hours and experience within the preschool program.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
