Overview
We are looking for a Carpenter or Laborer (experience is a bonus but not necessary) to join our expanding crew. We build both new construction homes and light commercial structures as well as remodels on existing structures. We also install industrial epoxy floors in various facilities around the state of Maine. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from framing and trim carpentry to restoration and remodeling. We’re seeking motivated individuals who thrive in hands-on environments, enjoy working with a variety of tools, and are eager to develop their skills in construction. Duties
- Assist with framing and trim carpentry tasks using hand tools and power tools to ensure precise construction and finishing.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and roofing tasks to support structural integrity.
- Install fixtures, doors, siding, cabinets, and flooring while adhering to safety standards and quality expectations.
- Support restoration projects including water damage remediation and water damage restoration.
- Operate machinery such has lifts and fork trucks.
- Conduct heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work site.
Requirements
- A strong work ethic and willingness to complete tasks given to them on time.
- Ability and willingness to show up to work on time.
- Skills and or knowledge in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
- Familiarity with various trades including tile laying, flooring installation, drywall finishing, caulking, siding installation, roofing, masonry, and fixture installation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Excellent physical stamina; capable of performing repetitive motions and standing for extended periods.
