Elevate your journey as a Peer Recovery Specialist I and make a meaningful impact by using your lived recovery experience to support others. In this role, you will build foundational skills in peer support, engagement, and advocacy while assisting individuals throughout their recovery journey.
You will engage individuals pre-, during, and post-treatment, provide family support and education, and help connect individuals to recovery communities and resources. This position promotes hope, empowerment, and wellness while utilizing Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) principles.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $19.00 - $20.00 an hour.
- Engage individuals in recovery through shared lived experience and peer support

Assist in linking individuals to treatment services, recovery supports, and community resources

Encourage participation in sobriety-based and pro-social activities

Provide support to individuals and families throughout the recovery process

Assist with service coordination and maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

Advocate for individuals to ensure access to services and support systems

Promote positive interactions within Chestnut and the broader community

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Five years in recovery or a combination of experience and education totaling 5 years

Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) or preference for crisis intervention training

Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and insurability

Basic computer skills: MS Word, email, and electronic medical record (EMR) usage
