Project Superintendent Overview
- This is a management position responsible for project profitability, quality of work, and timely completion of heavy civil road construction projects.
- Provide field support and direction to work crews in surveying, quality control, scheduling, and communication.
- Work is primarily outdoors.
- Typical work schedule is 40 to 60 hours per week.
Project Superintendent Tasks and Duties
- Read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and project documents.
- Conduct field surveys and project layout.
- Use field instruments and CAD software to complete survey and layout work.
- Estimate completed quantities from field measurements and surveys.
- Verify work complete matches project plans and specifications.
- Manage crew schedules, task sequencing, and daily field production.
- Coordinate between subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, and employees.
- Monitor project progress against schedule and Company expectations.
- Support timely project completion and profitable execution.
Project Superintendent Skills and Requirements
- Knowledge of heavy civil construction methods.
- Knowledge of survey methods, layout, and field measurement practices.
- Ability to read and understand civil plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Working skill with CAD software and field survey instruments.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and time management ability.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organized and able to manage multiple field priorities.

- Self-motivated and able to complete work with limited supervision.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
