As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Nursing who is excited by the opportunity to help expand and strengthen our Medicare-certified home health division.
The ideal candidate is more than an exceptional clinician—they are a strategic leader with an entrepreneurial mindset who understands how to grow a Medicare home health program through outstanding patient outcomes, physician relationship development, regulatory excellence, and a commitment to quality care. Key Responsibilities
- Direct all clinical operations of our Medicare-certified home health program.
- Ensure full compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, Florida regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Oversee OASIS accuracy, PDGM compliance, quality outcomes, and survey readiness.
- Supervise, mentor, and inspire Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Home Health Aides, and therapy staff.
- Review and approve patient care plans and clinical documentation.
- Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Partner with agency leadership to develop and implement strategies that increase Medicare census while maintaining exceptional quality outcomes.
- Build and strengthen relationships with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, assisted living communities, and other referral sources.
- Foster a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, compassion, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a Medicare-certified home health agency.
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, OASIS, PDGM, and home health regulations.
- Demonstrated success preparing agencies for state and accreditation surveys.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and developing clinical teams.
- Experience supporting census growth and referral development is highly desirable.
