Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, electrical systems, and building automation controls using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools like ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment including filters, belts, motors, and electrical components to ensure peak performance.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, valves, thermostats, wiring, and mechanical parts to restore system functionality efficiently.
- Install new HVAC systems and equipment according to design specifications and safety standards while ensuring proper integration with existing building systems.
- Conduct comprehensive system inspections to identify potential issues early and recommend appropriate solutions to clients.
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to perform repairs or modifications as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, answering questions professionally, and ensuring customer satisfaction during every interaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with construction or property maintenance background.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and building automation systems.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately for installation or troubleshooting purposes.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair including refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration units.
- Familiarity with electrical systems testing using tools like ohmmeters; experience with electrical diagnostics is essential.
- Skilled in HVAC system installation, maintenance, repair of boilers, air conditioning units, appliances, and other mechanical systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in welding or appliance repair are a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.

Pay: $29.02 - $34.95 per hour
