This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health– Inpatient Services, 220 Faison Drive, Columbia, SC 29203.
As the Food Service Specialist II (Trayline), working under the Trayline Supervisor and/or Area Supervisors, you will lead assigned staff in operation of food assembly in compliance with department, local, state, and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities for the Food Service Specialist II (Trayline):-
Lead other staff in and prepare, portion, assemble, and serve meals per menu specification.

Lead other staff in and operates all food re-thermalization and refrigeration equipment to serve clients hot and cold meal requirements.

Lead other staff in and operate refrigeration, heating, and ware washing equipment to maintain safe temperature requirements. Keeps daily records of temperature charts.

Lead other staff in and organize the serving and maintenance of food operation and equipment.

Lead other staff in and performs all ware washing, sanitation, and cleaning techniques to meet department standards.

Lead other staff in and verify food service accuracy and follow all prescribed procedures and instructions.

Provides required services in a pleasant, helpful, and positive manner to demonstrate good customer service.

Adhere to patients' privacy and "Bill of Rights" standards requirements while performing duties.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- There are no minimum training and experience requirements for this class.
Additional Requirements-
Physical ability to manually lift 40 lbs.

Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, pull, push, climb stairs
or stand for extended periods of time.
- May encounter temperatures ranging from 20 degrees F to 400 degrees F around equipment
