Growing liquid and powder coatings manufacturer is looking for a Business Development Rep to add to their sales team. This person will cover the southeast region. This is a home office based position, will travel up to 50%.
DUTIES:
· Prospect, sell and service industrial paint coatings
· Recognize sales opportunities when providing service work and conversely recognize opportunities for technical support when prospecting customers
· Provide technical education and solutions in the field to customers regarding all aspects of company products
· Provide account maintenance for current customers including contract negotiations
· Forecast sales and price adjustments
· Work with development team to ensure technical skills are current with regards to existing product and future products in consideration
· Report all initiatives to supervisor and provide status updates on a regular basis
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Education level preferred: bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Degree is preferred to be in a Science related field such as Chemistry or Business.
· Experience level preferred: At least three years of engineering experience in the powder or liquid coatings manufacturing environment.
· Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook), AutoCAD, ERP system and other office machinery.
· Leadership capabilities with the ability to lead by example.

· Superb written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to travel over 50% of the time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
