HVAC Service Technician - Grow into a lead role at a scaling shop
Thrasher Plumbing heating & cooling is looking for skilled HVAC Service Technicians to join our growing team in Plainville, MA full time. We have been in business for over 44 years and have an extensive repeat clientele base. Trucks are fully stocked with tools and parts to carry out efficient calls everyday. We are excited to grow and provide great opportunities for skilled technicians who want to be able to move into leadership roles as the company grows. We provide high-quality residential and commercial solutions and need dependable professionals to service, diagnose, and repair heating and cooling systems.
Job Details:
Pay: $35-$50 per hour plus performance bonuses weekly
Job Description: Troubleshoot and fix issues with residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners. Conduct routine safety inspections and seasonal tune-ups to ensure maximum equipment efficiency. Explain technical issues clearly to clients and recommend repair or replacement options. Maintain accurate electronic records of service calls, parts used, and system readings via service titan crm. Follow all industry safety standards and local building codes on every job site.
What We Look For
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and service experience.
- Valid EPA Universal Certification required. Massachusetts refrigeration or oil burner license is a plus.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, gas piping, and refrigerant charging.
- A clean driving record and a valid driver's license to operate company service vehicles.
- Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a professional customer-first attitude.
- Strong sense of pride in workmanship
