Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment to ensure peak efficiency and longevity
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, refrigeration issues, plumbing connections, and mechanical system failures using hand tools and specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters
- Conduct system repairs involving electrical systems, mechanical components, welding, and equipment troubleshooting to resolve operational issues promptly
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building plans to accurately install or repair HVAC systems in residential or commercial properties
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and environmental safety standards during installation and servicing
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols clearly to clients
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and installation
- Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields such as appliance repair or property maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including electrical diagnostics and equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles for effective system installation and repair
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, electrical systems, boilers, ammonia refrigeration (nice-to-have), and building automation systems
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices for precise repairs
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or HVAC/R are advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
