Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation and quality standards are met
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas following food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation and beverage setup as needed to support kitchen and bar staff
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent communication skills paired with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for supporting food prep when needed
- Demonstrated time management skills to serve multiple tables effectively during busy hours
