Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Retail Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee daily store operations, manage staff, and ensure an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. Duties
- Supervise daily store activities including sales, inventory control, and customer service to ensure operational excellence.
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management.
- Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient store coverage at all times.
- Oversee merchandising efforts to optimize product presentation and maximize sales.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Oversee inventory management processes including stock replenishment, purchasing, and shrinkage control.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and participate in interviewing potential candidates.
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and cash handling procedures accurately.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns that drive traffic and sales.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory retail role within the fashion or grocery retail sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across shifts.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, pricing strategies, and inventory management software.
- Demonstrated expertise in customer service excellence and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, merchandising standards, and marketing fundamentals.
- Experience with budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently with strong organizational skills.
- Prior experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development is highly desirable.
- Competence in managing store operations including stock control, cashiering, and sales management. Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
