Farmer's Market & Corporate CSA

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday

Tangerini’s Farm is seeking a well-rounded individual to manage our farmers markets. A valid driver’s license is a must and the ability to confidently drive a box truck to and from both locations (will train for driving box truck). This position reports directly to the Crew Manager as well as the Farm Manager and owner. This position will start in mid-June but training will begin sooner. The schedule includes a Tuesday farmers market, Thursday corporate CSA, and weekend markets on Saturday and Sunday. If you would like additional weekday hours, and there are positions available, you could pick up hours in our ice cream shop, farm stand, or as part of our field crew.
Responsibilities include:
- Consistent availability for farmer's markets and corporate CSA
- Working with Crew Manager
- Loading and unloading truck
- Setup/breakdown at off site locations
- Inventory of product
- Clean and well-kept Box truck at the end of everyday
- Great personality
- Understanding of product and customer service is a must!
Important Skills for this position:
- Interest in organic farming practices
- Farming experience is a plus but not necessary for the right person
- Work in all weather
- At least 16 years of age
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to work efficiently based on priorities, willingness to take direction initiative, and constructive criticism
- Dedication to assigned work shifts, balancing outside personal matters with work
- Proactive, honest and constructive communication about work-related information
- Ability to self-motivate and follow a list- ability to work independently and follow detailed work instructions
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly and easily, and to hustle through a physically busy day
- Reliability and punctuality
- Cleans up their work space when the task is completed
- Take pride in their work
- Capable of doing tedious and sometimes strenuous task for several hours at a time
- The desire to learn will lead to other farming opportunities
- Sense of humor and a positive attitude
Compensation:
- Starting at 16/hr
- Up to 5 sick days based on MA law of accumulating hours.
