Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Identify and direct key corporate performance initiatives across departments, working within and across capabilities
- Drive implementation of organizational strategies, operational policies, and improvement initiatives
- Lead capability builds, evaluations and redesign of existing and new workflows
- Develop key performance metrics to evaluate baseline and improved performance
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance patient experience
- Manage corporate initiatives portfolio, prioritizing highest value creation
Strategic Planning
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives
- Lead operational projects related to expansion, integration, technology adoption, or process redesign
- Support long-range planning and capacity management
Financial Oversight
- Assist with budget development and operational financial management
- As related to corporate initiatives, monitor departmental productivity, labor utilization, and expense control
- Analyze operational and financial data to support executive decision-making
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives
- Collaborate with compliance, legal, and clinical leadership teams
- Monitor readiness for regulatory surveys and audits
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership and mentorship to directors, managers, and operational teams
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership development
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between clinical and administrative departments
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with administration, field operations, clinical leadership, finance, HR, IT, and other departments
- Represent leadership in executive meetings and committees
- Support relationships with external partners, vendors, and community organizations
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred (MHA, MBA, MPH, or related discipline)
Experience
- 7–15 years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience
- Experience in hospital, health system, ambulatory, or multi-site healthcare operations
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, reimbursement, and operational workflows
- Experience managing large teams and cross-functional initiatives
