Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our client's team as Application Technicians. This role supports the Optical Critical Dimension (OCD), Integrated Metrology (IM), and Virtual Metrology (VM) team, with responsibilities including recipe setup, recipe troubleshooting, internal customer support, and daily tool qualification. The position plays a key role in sustaining metrology operations to ensure smooth product flow throughout the manufacturing facility. Since Optical Critical Dimension and Thin Film measurements are essential to product quality and device performance, your work will have a direct impact on production. Comprehensive, hands-on training will be provided by experienced metrology engineers and application technicians.
Job Description:
- Perform daily tool qualifications to verify equipment health and maintain reliable operation.
- Monitor production trends, investigate abnormal conditions, and escalate issues to engineers or management when necessary.
- Troubleshoot measurement issues involving AFM, OCD, and Integrated Metrology equipment.
- Create and maintain measurement recipes for new products and engineering data collection.
- Perform Tool-to-Tool Matching (TTTM) activities to ensure measurement consistency across equipment.
- Analyze and summarize experimental data using Microsoft Excel, Spotfire, JMP, or similar data analysis tools.
- Collaborate with metrology engineers on process improvement projects and technical initiatives.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve consistency and reduce training gaps.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities to improve processes and minimize errors.
Skills Required:
- Accurately record and maintain process and production data.
- Document and communicate shift activities during pass-downs.
- Monitor process parameters and equipment performance.
- Identify non-conforming material, investigate root causes, and support corrective actions.
- Assist engineering teams with process experiments and evaluations.
- Maintain compliance with established process procedures and SOPs.
- Semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Education/Training/Certifications:
- Associate degree, technical school certification, or equivalent military experience required.
