Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including sinks, dish stations, and storage areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients when needed.
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is sanitized and ready for service.
- Follow food handling and safety procedures diligently to uphold health standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely clearing of tables and proper bussing of dining areas during busy service times.
- Manage waste disposal efficiently and keep dishwashing stations stocked with necessary supplies.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards is advantageous.
- Experience working in banquet settings or catering environments can be beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm.
