About Lamorinda Village
Lamorinda Village is a nonprofit organization supporting older adults through volunteer services, social connection, and healthy aging programming. Our mission is to help seniors remain active, engaged, and independent while aging in place. We provide practical support, educational programming, wellness activities, volunteer coordination, and community-building opportunities throughout Lafayette, Moraga, and Orinda and via our Affiliates, through Contra Costa County.
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and community-minded Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our growing organization.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting office operations, membership administration, events, volunteer processing, communications, and program logistics. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, comfort with technology platforms, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working with older adults, volunteers, and community partners while helping keep a mission-driven organization running smoothly.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative and office support
- Assist with financial and membership record processing
- Support member, volunteer, and community communications
- Maintain organizational databases, calendars, and digital files
- Assist with program coordination and event logistics
- Support volunteer onboarding and administrative processes
- Help create and distribute organizational communications and promotional materials
- Assist with maintaining organizational technology platforms and systems
- Provide excellent customer service to members, volunteers, donors, and community partners
- Support special projects and other organizational needs as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly and professional customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with:
- Google Workspace/Google Drive
- Canva
- Mailchimp
- Website maintenance platforms
- Microsoft Office
- Experience with database systems or CRM platforms preferred
- Nonprofit, volunteer coordination, or senior services experience is a plus

Position Details
- 25 hours/week non-flexible
- Occasional evening or weekend event support may be required
- Local travel within Lamorinda may occasionally be needed
