Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with operating and setting up CNC machines to fabricate parts, as well as knowledge of precision measuring instruments. This is a full-time position in our manufacturing facility.
Note: Please DO NOT apply if skill level is not high enough to machine a part complete, from print/drawing to part using whichever means necessary. (Vertical/Horizontal Machining Centers, turning centers)
Duties:
- Set up and operate machines such as Vertical/Horizontal Machining Centers and Turning Centers.
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, bore gauges, and micrometers
- Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate parts to specifications
- Perform quality checks on finished parts using GD&T principles
- Maintain equipment and keep work area clean and organized
Qualifications:
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Experience with tooling selection and setup for machining operations
- Strong attention to detail to ensure parts meet required specifications
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Familiarity with programming CNC machines using Fanuc controls
- Proficiency in Mastercam/Fusion 360 or similar CAD software for part design/programming.
- Knowledge of operating various types of machinery and tools
- Manual Machining experience is huge plus
