Duties
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, including blood sampling and diagnostic radiology support.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all medical supplies are stocked and organized for efficient clinic operations.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) accurately by documenting patient information, medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes with precision.
- Conduct health education sessions to inform patients about procedures, medication instructions, and wellness practices.
- Monitor patient conditions during visits, report changes promptly to healthcare providers, and assist with critical care procedures when necessary.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as patient positioning and transportation within the clinic to ensure safety and comfort.
- Support clinic operations by scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and maintaining clear communication with clients regarding their care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program is required.
- Prior experience in acute care settings or plastic surgery clinics is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation practices.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures, diagnostic radiology, and nursing care.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR are essential for ensuring patient safety during emergencies.
- Experience with blood sampling techniques, patient condition reporting, and client communication is preferred.
