This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential threats and implementing effective measures to mitigate risks. The Protection Agent will work closely with law enforcement and other security personnel to maintain a secure environment.
Position Overview
Seeking a highly professional Executive Protection Agent / Executive Security Driver to support corporate executives, family office principals, high-net-worth individuals, and their families.
This position combines executive protection, secure transportation, protective intelligence, advance planning, residential security support, and executive mobility operations. The successful candidate will operate as a protection professional first and a driver second, ensuring the safety, privacy, productivity, and continuity of the principal’s daily activities.
As a driver this is not a chauffeur position. The Executive Security Driver serves as an integrated member of the protective team, responsible for maintaining situational awareness, identifying emerging risks, supporting protective operations, and providing secure transportation while preserving the principal’s comfort, privacy, and schedule.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional judgment, emotional intelligence, advanced driving skills, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to perform effectively in dynamic environments.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Executive Protection
Provide close protection support for executives, family members, and authorized personnel.
Maintain appropriate protective positioning and situational awareness during movements, meetings, events, travel, and public appearances.
Identify, assess, and mitigate potential threats or vulnerabilities that may impact client safety, privacy, reputation, or operational continuity.
Support executive protection operations in corporate, residential, public, and travel environments.
Maintain a low-profile protective posture that balances security, client comfort, productivity, and discretion.
Coordinate with executive assistants, family office personnel, corporate stakeholders, travel coordinators, and external security providers as required.
Secure Transportation & Executive Mobility
Provide safe, discreet, and professional transportation for executives and family members.
Conduct route planning, route reconnaissance, alternate route development, and contingency planning.
Monitor traffic conditions, environmental factors, demonstrations, accidents, construction zones, and other variables that may impact executive movements.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean, fueled, operationally ready condition.
Support airport transfers, corporate meetings, executive events, private aviation movements, residential operations, and personal travel requirements.
Maintain proficiency in defensive driving, protective mobility, and executive transportation best practices.
Protective Intelligence & Advance Operations
Conduct advance work and site assessments for meetings, events, travel destinations, and executive activities.
Identify vulnerabilities related to access control, environmental hazards, movement patterns, and operational exposure.
Support protective intelligence efforts through observation, information gathering, reporting, and threat awareness.
Monitor developing situations that could affect executive travel, security operations, or business continuity.
Communicate relevant findings and recommendations to leadership and protective personnel.
Residential & Family Security Support
Assist with residential security operations and estate security support as required.
Monitor residential environments for security concerns and vulnerabilities.
Support family protection assignments, special events, and travel operations.
Maintain awareness of privacy concerns and family-specific security requirements.
Emergency Response
Respond effectively to medical emergencies, security incidents, vehicle breakdowns, travel disruptions, and crisis situations.
Support emergency evacuations, emergency relocations, and contingency operations when required.
Provide immediate incident reporting and maintain communication with appropriate stakeholders.
Maintain readiness to support critical incidents while preserving client safety and continuity of operations.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in executive protection, secure transportation, military service, law enforcement, corporate security, or related protective operations.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Executive protection, close protection, or protective operations training from a recognized provider.
Demonstrated experience in protective mobility, secure transportation, route planning, and contingency planning.
Strong situational awareness and threat recognition capabilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm under pressure.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
Valid U.S. passport or ability to obtain one.
Ability to travel domestically as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Military, federal, law enforcement, or specialized security experience.
Executive Protection Institute (EPI), Executive Security International (ESI), Texas Security University (TSU), or equivalent executive protection training.
Protective driving, defensive driving, EVOC, evasive driving, or secure transportation certification.
CPR, AED, First Aid, EMT, or advanced medical certification.
Protective intelligence, surveillance detection, threat assessment, or behavioral threat management training.
Experience supporting C-suite executives, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, or public figures.
State armed security licensing and firearms qualifications where applicable.
