About this Position:
· This position is commission-based.
. You will work with a wide variety of dog breeds.
· You will be part of a culture that promotes positivity and over-the-top customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
· Grooming and styling pets per owners' instructions or according to breed standards.
· Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, providing care recommendations.
· Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services to keep their pets healthy and happy.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment.
· Provide additional pet care services, including nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing.
· Stay updated on grooming techniques, trends, and best practices to enhance skills.
Groomer will have:
· Two or more years of breed specific pet grooming experience.
· A high school diploma or GED.
· Strong dog handling skills and the ability to work with various breeds and temperaments.
· Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling during grooming.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
· Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
