JOB SUMMARY
Clinical Asset Appraisal is a Houston equipment appraisal firm, and we are hiring two or three people to put our work directly into the hands of medical and dental practices across the city.
Here is the whole job. One or two days a week you drive a route of medical office buildings in your part of Houston, walking into each practice and handing the front desk a booklet. On the days in between, you call those same offices to make sure the booklet reached the right person, and you set a short meeting between that person and our appraiser.
You are not cold calling and you are not pitching a doctor. You deliver something genuinely useful, you find out who it belongs to, and you get a time on the calendar. Our appraiser takes it from there.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We can teach anyone the product. We cannot teach someone to care. So we hire for three things.
Determination. You finish the route. When a building runs longer than you planned, you do not go home at three o'clock with six stops left on the list. And you make the follow-up calls even on the day you would rather not, because the calls are where the job actually pays.
Hustle, in the plain sense of the word. You use the day. You would rather do forty offices well than twenty slowly, and you get a little satisfaction out of the number at the end of it.
Pride in who you represent. When you say this firm's name at a front desk, we want you to say it like it means something, because it does. Our appraiser holds the Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser designation from the NEBB Institute and works as a commercial property underwriter. He signs every report personally. Every figure we publish names its source, and anyone can go check it. You will never be asked to say one thing that is not true, and that is not an accident. It is how the firm was built.
If that is the kind of place you want your name attached to, we would like to hear from you.
WHAT WE DO, SO YOU CAN ANSWER THE QUESTION
Medical and dental practices carry hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment on their insurance policies and their tax filings, and the numbers on both are usually wrong, in both directions. We find out what that equipment is actually worth and we put our name on the answer.
The booklet you deliver explains how that happens, using public figures the reader can verify. That is why this works as a delivery rather than a sales pitch, and it is why you can hand it to someone honestly even if they never become a client.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive a planned route of medical and dental offices in your area, most of them clustered in medical office buildings.
Deliver a printed booklet for the office staff at each stop, and find out who handles that practice's equipment and insurance.
Call those offices about two days later to confirm the booklet reached that person.
Set a short meeting between them and our appraiser using our online booking calendar. This is the part of the job that pays, and it is a simple ask: twenty minutes, no obligation, with the person who signs the reports.
Keep a clear log of offices visited, names collected, and meetings set. Every card you hand out carries your own code, so the work you do is tracked to you and you get credit for it.
Tell us what you are hearing at the front desk. What offices actually say back is one of the most valuable things you bring us.
Anything that turns into a detailed conversation about pricing or the work itself gets handed straight to the appraiser. You never have to answer a technical question.
EXPERIENCE
No experience is required, and its absence will not count against you.
If you have worked in customer service, a medical or dental office, retail, hospitality, or community outreach, tell us about it. It will help, and we would genuinely like to hear it. More experience is welcome, never a barrier.
But we hire for character first and skills second, because the skills here take about a day to learn and the character does not.
QUALIFICATIONS
A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Comfortable walking into a professional office and speaking with front desk staff, and comfortable making follow-up phone calls.
Able to keep clear written records of each visit.
Available at least two weekdays between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
A great attitude. This one is not filler. Every office you walk into forms an impression of our firm in about four seconds, and that impression is you.
TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
You will be trained on the product personally by the owner. What we do, why the numbers matter, what to say at the front desk, what to say on the follow-up call, and exactly what to do when someone asks a question you cannot answer. That last answer is short and easy and you will have it on day one.
Then you run your own territory. Nobody rides along and nobody looks over your shoulder. If that sounds good to you, it should, because it means we hire people we do not have to supervise.
Beyond the training, we are seriously interested in developing people. This is a small firm that is growing, and the person who starts by delivering booklets is well positioned to take on more as the territory expands. Representatives who bring in business will be given the opportunity to pursue the equipment appraiser credential itself. It is a real, portable, nationally recognized certification, and it is the same one our appraiser holds. We would far rather develop appraisers out of people who already understand the customer than hire them cold.
PAY
This role is paid for results, not for hours, and the results are meetings.
$25 when you book a qualified meeting, and $25 more when that meeting happens. $50 for every real appointment you put on the calendar.
$140 to $750 and up when a practice you introduced becomes a client, depending on what they purchase.
You keep earning on that client each year they renew, for several years, without doing anything further.
Your first six route days are guaranteed at $100 each while you learn the route and the script, on any day you log at least 20 deliveries. Six days only. After that you are paid on results, and the ceiling is entirely yours.
Pay is issued by the 15th of the following month.
SCHEDULE
You choose your own days within the week, and nothing is scheduled at night or on weekends, because medical offices are closed then.
Route days are capped at two per week to start. That is deliberate. The follow-up calls are where this job pays, and they need their own time and a clear head. Driving five days a week and never calling anyone earns nothing. Additional route days are assigned as your territory grows and you are ready for them.
A normal week is two route days between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM, plus a few hours of calls on the days in between.
You work the part of Houston you already live in. We assign territory around where you are, not the other way around.

1. What part of Houston you live in.
