- The diesel mechanic is responsible for maintaining the fleet. This can include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, removal of parts and attachments, installations, disassembly, assembly, and reconditioning.
Other duties as follows:
- Utilize various diagnostic equipment to determine malfunction and utilize available technical information to perform correct repair procedure.
- Diagnosis, removal and replacement of injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, rods and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, etc.
- Perform all necessary diagnostic and documentation functions utilizing the company's system.
- Lubricate moving parts and drives repaired to conformance specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance work as requested.
- Must hold a CDL with no Manual Restriction
