SABA Therapy Center is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based ABA services to children, teens, and young adults (ages 2–21) with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, epilepsy, Down syndrome, and other developmental needs. Our services are delivered in homes, clinics, and community settings, with all programs supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) in accordance with BACB standards.

Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time, salaried exempt Entry-Level BCBA to join the SABA Therapy clinical team. This 40-hour per week role offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in clinical oversight, developing individualized treatment plans, supervising Behavior Technicians/RBTs, training parents and caregivers, and mentoring BCBA candidates. You will also support administrative functions, allowing exposure to the full scope of clinical operations. Services will primarily be delivered in clients’ homes and at our center, with travel required within a 30-mile radius of the service area. This position is ideal for a BCBA looking to grow professionally while contributing meaningfully to client outcomes and team development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized ABA treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including schools and healthcare providers
- Supervise and mentor Behavior Technicians/RBTs and BCBA candidates with compassion and professionalism
- Independently write progress reports, treatment updates, and termination summaries
- Provide parent/caregiver training based on assessment outcomes and treatment goals
- Monitor client progress, ensuring accurate data collection and data-driven clinical decisions
- Prepare treatment materials and clinical stimuli aligned with client goals
- Lead and participate in clinical meetings, fidelity checks, and staff training sessions
- Deliver ongoing competency-based training to staff (e.g., Behavior Skills Training)
- Maintain professional communication with clients, caregivers, and team members
- Conduct fidelity checks and review all data for quality and compliance
- Mentor BCBA staff following BACB supervision requirements
- Travel within the designated service area to provide in-home and center-based services
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned
- Maintains regular communication with the Assistant Clinical Directors/Clinical Director and promptly reports any issues affecting client progress or satisfaction

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
- Active BCBA certification in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year as a BCBA preferred
- 2+ years working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders
- Completion of 8-hour BACB supervision training (required for BCBA candidate mentorship)
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles, including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), PECS, Behavior Skills Training (BST), and other evidence-based practices
- Familiarity with early intervention models and local community resources
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with ABA software such as CentralReach preferred
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance required
- Ability to pass TB test and criminal background check required
- Bilingual skills are a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $81,000 – $84,000, based on experience and qualifications
- Eligibility for a performance-based bonus of up to $5,000 annually, distributed in installments tied to goal achievement
- Classification: Exempt (salaried); not eligible for overtime under California law
- Fieldwork supervision hours available for aspiring BCBAs
- Vacation accrual up to 40 hours/year after probation
- Sick time up to 48 hours/year

Work Requirements
- 40 hours per week required
- Minimum of 25 billable hours per week providing in-person direct services (restricted hours)
- Remaining hours allocated to documentation, supervision, meetings, clinical planning, perform environmental maintenance and administrative duties (unrestricted hours/admin functions)
- Travel within a 30-mile radius of Kern County Area: Bakersfield, Lamont, Arvin, Delano, McFarland, Wasco, and Shafter
Work Location
- In-person position: center-based and/or in-home services required
- Must be able to travel within the designated service areas required
Schedule
Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 8:00am-8:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-8:00pm
- Availability Monday–Friday (8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.) and occasional work until 7:30 p.m. and weekends
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and engage with clients during sessions
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (materials or equipment)
- Ability to manage physical interaction with clients when necessary for clinical purposes, following safety guidelines and protocols
