Job Summary

This position works in partnership with Payroll Clerk 1 within the Financial Management Services (FMS) of The Arc of Northwest Wayne County. The ideal candidate has experience working in self-determination under the Medicaid system. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and works in cooperation with other FMS. This is a full-time, 32 hours/week salaried position.
Responsibilities
· Direct Support Professionals’ timesheet processing
o Processes hours worked by direct support professionals (DSPs) check for accuracy, enters times into the computer system
· Data Entry
o Enters Medicaid claims into community mental health system including for individuals with shared staffing hours
o Enters fiscal fees based on individuals served into QuickBooks accounting system
· Electronic Visit Verification system training and maintenance
o Oversees use of electronic visit verification (EVV) system, keeping accurate information on employers and employees
o Educates all DSPs on EVV system, proactively provides essential information to DSPs and their employers, communicates with EVV tech staff for troubleshooting
o Follows up with DSPs and employers to ensure accurate, timely submission of documentation
· Payroll Preparation
o Using QuickBooks, accurately prepares payroll for DSPs, submits to accountant
o Enters new employees into appropriate systems for payroll
o Enters individual budgets into QuickBooks
o Prepares special payments such as respite and camps
o Submits regular and additional payrolls to accountant for processing
o Oversees distribution of payroll through direct deposit or paper checks
o Assists with quarterly payroll audits
· Other Duties
o Creates and provides monthly service utilization reports to community mental health agency
o Assists with Arc NW Financial Management Services where needed including filing, organizing, and training DSPs
o Provide general information to questions from individuals, families, staff, and other professionals from a caseload
o Attends appropriate trainings, workshops, and conferences to obtain information that will expand skills and knowledge base
o Cross trains with other positions in The Arc NW Financial Management Services
o Performs all other tasks as assigned

Required Education and Experience
· A minimum of a high school diploma required, some college and/or related work experience preferred
· Experience preparing payroll required
· Experience with computer apps for employee payroll required
· Computer skills, database experience, and the ability to acquire skills with new software required
· Experience with QuickBooks required
· Experience with Medicaid Claims preferred
Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
