Supporting the Front Desk team by: escorting guests to rooms, assisting with luggage, running antique elevator, and having knowledge of local area attractions & activities to direct guests. Delivering VIP amenities and pre-ordered special requests/enhancements to rooms. Keeping front porch and lobby looking presentable and free of clutter, and making sure bell cart is clean and well-maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Approaches all encounters with guest and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Supports the Front Desk team in any way needed, including: escorting guests to rooms, assisting with luggage, running antique elevator, and providing guests with knowledge of local area attractions, activities, and directions.
Experience: Customer Service experience preferred, but not needed.
Skills: Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly & accurately. Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity. Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations. Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure. Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests; must communicate clearly.
Character: Must be friendly, aware, and willing to help.
Physical Ability: Must be able to assist guests with luggage and deliver VIP amenities & pre-ordered special requests/enhancements to any room/suite.
- Must be available to work weekends
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 pounds
