Human Resources Generalist

Primary Function
As the HR Generalist you will provide human resource services for the company. The successful applicant will manage and administer a wide variety of HR functions as detailed below.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a focus in Human Resources
· 5-8 Years of HR experience, legal and construction background a plus.

· Ability to work under minimal supervision.
· Must have strong communications skills and ability to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions.
· Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
· Legal understanding of Federal, State and local HR laws in multiple states.
Responsibilities
· Recruit and interview potential employees, including vetting applicants.
· Oversee new hire orientation.
· Maintain employee files.
· Provide a resource for employees and management to voice concerns, assist with conflict resolution and address performance issues.
· Assist with job descriptions and corporate structure.
· Employee relations – such as coordinating annual reviews, employee complaint documentation, corrective action and jobsite reviews.
· Organize annual safety day, and other training as needed, including lead and respirator fit testing and other safety programs.
· Obtain and distribute safety posters for CSS facilities and state specific posters for jobsites.
· Administer company benefits such as health insurance, vacation and 401k.
· Administer workers’ compensation and unemployment claims, OSHA logs, and ensure compliance with FMLA, COBRA, ACA, OSHA & EEOC as well as all wage and hour laws.
· Assist in the development, organization and updating of manuals, such as the employee handbook, policy manual and standard operating procedures.
· Implement online resource portal for employees (Sharepoint & HH2).
· Assist payroll department with implementation of GPS time clock program.
· Work with office staff and management to coordinate staff scheduling.
· Other duties as assigned.

- This paid position is available on a full-time basis. (40-hour week M-Th. 7am – 4pm, F 7am – 1:30pm)
