182 Ave Chemists is seeking a licensed Supervising Pharmacist to join our independent retail pharmacy.
We are a relatively new pharmacy and are currently not very busy yet, as we are still in the process of obtaining additional insurance and PBM approvals. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist who wants to grow with a developing pharmacy, help build workflow, and be part of the foundation of a community-focused independent pharmacy.
New pharmacist graduates are encouraged to apply.
Position Details:
Pay: $80 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 30–35 hours per week
Job Type: Full-time / Flexible scheduling available
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Supervising Pharmacist for the pharmacy
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations
- Verify, dispense, and counsel patients on prescription medications
- Maintain proper prescription records and pharmacy documentation
- Help establish efficient pharmacy workflow and best practices
- Communicate professionally with patients, prescribers, insurance plans, and staff
- Support the growth and development of a new independent pharmacy
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Pharmacist License required
- Supervising Pharmacist eligibility required
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Independent pharmacy experience is a plus, but not required
- PrimeRx / Micro Merchant experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism
- Friendly, patient-focused attitude
- Willingness to grow with a newer pharmacy
