Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service with a positive attitude.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with integrity.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities.
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure attractive displays and product availability.
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries.
- Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts.
- Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales potential.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively assist diverse customers, including bilingual support if applicable.
- Uphold store policies on safety, cleanliness, and organization to create a welcoming shopping environment.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, retail math for pricing and discounts.
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, stocking shelves, and merchandising.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
