The successful candidate will gain hands-on, real-life training and experience to broaden their understanding of sales techniques, research strategies, project management support functions, estimating, project coordination and the behind the scenes responsibilities necessary to develop these skills and further individual career goals.
Position Description:
- Assist with outbound prospecting efforts, including qualifying new construction leads, maintaining regular client outreach, and preparing for calls through effective pre-call planning
- Contribute to new client acquisition by supporting coordination, execution, and follow-up initiatives
- Work with marketing to prepare proposals, respond to RFPs, and support business development efforts
- Identify and research project leads, including funding sources, markets, clients, and project details, to support business development initiatives
- Utilize Salesforce and industry lead platforms (e.g. Dodge) to identify, track, and manage RFP opportunities.
- Qualify incoming leads and support Go/No-Go decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with the Sales & Marketing Team throughout the entire sales cycle
- Consistently achieve daily and weekly KPIs, tracking lead generation activity and timely task completion
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business development initiatives and overall team objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Demonstrates strong motivation for professional development and long-term growth within a construction engineering firm, with openness to advancement opportunities
- Proficient in Microsoft Suites
- Marketing or sales experience with success in achieving sales goals preferred
- Ability to work under pressure while meeting critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly self-motivated and disciplined with strong resilience and work ethic. Able to handle rejection effectively while maintaining a consistent, process-driven approach
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
