Overview
Join our team as an Ice Cream Scooper, where you will be the face of our delightful ice cream shop! In this role, you will create memorable experiences for our customers by serving delicious ice cream and providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting environment while ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Serve ice cream and other menu items with a friendly and engaging demeanor.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Square POS system for order processing and payment transactions.
- Upsell additional products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness in the serving area, kitchen, and dining spaces, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist in food preparation, including scooping ice cream, making sundaes, and preparing toppings.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours.
- Help create systems or standard operating systems(SOP’s) to make sure each shift is prepare.
- Make waffle cones
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a quick-service restaurant is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required.

Availability
- Morning Shift 11:30am to 6pm
- Evening Shift 4:00am to 11:00pm
- Weekends are a must!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
