*Brown Fleet Services (BFS) is currently hiring a full-time Breakdown Agent

This position is great for someone with mechanical knowledge as well as basic computer/office skills.
The Breakdown Agent will be responsible for coordinating on-the-road equipment breakdowns to get the equipment repaired and rolling. He/She will be working closely with drivers and breakdown agents to ensure proper procedures and notifications are followed.
Practical knowledge of tractor trailer repair and basic FMCSA regulations are a must.
Knowledge of the transportation industry helpful.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Assist drivers with breakdown needs, accidents and emergencies by either routing them to terminals or coordinating roadside repairs; Arrange breakdown services by locating authorized vendors within close proximity to ensure minimum wait time, competitive pricing and quality repairs; Communicate any service disruptions and route changes due to down equipment; Identify warrantable repairs and file claims with the appropriate vendor(s) or manufacturer(s) as needed; Maintain contact with vendor(s) during repair to ensure specific requirements are being met; Update all parties regarding progress toward completion of repairs; Coordinate payment methods to vendors.
Requirements:
Heavy Equipment / Trucking / Logistics experience, 5 years or more preferred maintenance knowledge of tractor trailer repair preferred
Knowledge of basic FMCSA regulations preferred Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite
Salary: $22.00 to $27.00 /hour
