Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred
Experience: Required: Some experience in measurement lab, preferably automotive. Understands basic measurement
and metric system. Preferred: Minimum 1 year of experience in measurement lab.
General Description/Position Summary
Tests and/or inspects product at various stages of production processes. Tests and/or inspects product as requested to
support engineering, including trials and machine changes. Reports measurement data to relevant entities. Can interpret
engineering drawings.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Conducts necessary quality inspections, primarily by mechanical means, in a laboratory environment.
- Operates computerized lab inspection equipment. Maintains equipment cleanliness and safe work environment.
- Reviews inspection data for measurement accuracy. Reports measurement data.
- Read and follow work instructions.
- Must rotate shifts at set intervals.
- Must be available to support weekend work.
- Other duties as assigned.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Maintains 5S and Safety activity.
- Work independently or in team setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of Company’s products, characteristics, and measurement methods.
- Must be proficient in all lab equipment and activities, with ability to train others.
- Able to communicate measurement status verbally and via email.
- Must be able to present information to a group.
