Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent service to our customers while ensuring that our store is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, basic math abilities, and a passion for retail sales. Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring that shelves are stocked and products are displayed attractively.
- Assist in supervising stock replenishment activities to ensure that inventory levels meet customer demand.
- Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems effectively for processing transactions and managing sales data.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance the overall shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred, particularly in grocery stores or similar settings.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change.
- Experience with cash registers or POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

- gas station cashier: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- TABC Certification (Preferred)
