Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Restaurant Shift Leader to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant activities during assigned shifts, ensuring high standards of service and food quality.
- Lead, motivate, and train team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Manage food preparation and kitchen operations, including cooking, food handling, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction management.
- Control inventory levels through regular stock checks, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the restaurant.
- Assist with interviewing, onboarding new staff, and supporting ongoing staff training & development initiatives.
- Monitor shift performance metrics including sales, labor costs, and profit & loss analysis to optimize restaurant profitability.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster loyalty.
- Support restaurant management in budgeting efforts and implementing operational improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising or team management experience within the hospitality or food industry.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures, food production processes, and kitchen management best practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities during busy shifts.
- Prior experience in managing hospitality teams or supervising staff in casual dining or fine dining settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to train staff effectively on food safety standards, operational procedures, and customer service excellence.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment.
