Runyon and Sons Roofing is a residential and commercial roofing contractor that specializes in all types of shingle roofs, flat roofs, metal roofs and roof repairs. Located in Mentor Ohio, they have been servicing Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, and Summit counties.
Currently, our company employs about 40 skilled workers as well as a full time office staff and sales team. Our crews specialize in residential and commercial roofing and we have four full time repair crews for your year ’round emergency needs. We are fully licensed, bonded and insured and are compliant with all Workers’ Compensation laws in the state of Ohio. We are seeking a part time Warehouse Associate to join the team. The hours will be 7am-1pm Monday through Friday.
The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our roofing company's warehouse operations. This position is responsible for handling, organizing, and storing various roofing materials and equipment, ensuring that they are readily available for our projects.
The Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate are:
1. Receive and Process Shipments: Carefully unload and inspect incoming materials and equipment, verify quantities, and report any discrepancies or damages.
2. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular counts and updating the warehouse management system.
3. Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to move stock as required.
4. Order Fulfillment: Prepare, package, and load materials and equipment for dispatch to job sites, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
5. Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensuring materials are stored in an orderly and accessible manner.
6. Onsite Delivery: Deliver items to various job sites as needed
6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all workplace safety policies and regulations, actively participating in safety training and meetings.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.
- Forklift certification or willingness to undergo training.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Experience in driving dump trucks (non CDL)/ pickups, preferably in a construction or roofing environment.
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic laws.
